Happy Birthday, Trisha!

Thirty years ago today, Trisha was born – mistress of bike riding, singing any lyric known to mankind, draping a scarf, interviewing famous authors, baking fancy treats, traveling Europe and goofing off. When we met four years ago, my life got way more awesome. For example, one year ago today, we were celebrating her birthday riding bikes in St. Petersburg, Russia, and in a few months we plan to be riding bikes in Paris!

But before that grand trip, I will be in Nashville this weekend to celebrate.

Trisha, if you supply the hula hoops, I’ll bring my dancing shoes and we’ll finally learn the In the Sun routine. Deal? Deal! :)

She looks particularly cute in that first shot. Why have I not seen her before, except in the pictures of the Russian trip? Just inattentive, I suppose. Unless you have been hiding her from us?

trisha, again, happy 30th! love the first photo, yes (i’m agreeing with the previous poster). very cute and whimsical!

speaking of Paris, i have a favor to ask of you and Dottie. when you get there, if you happen to visit one of the bicycle shops that carries the Yakkay helmet line, would you mind trying them out for me? i’m eager to know how they fit (and look), especially now that they make a true size small instead of just S/M and M/L sizes. only if you’ve time and don’t mind! thanks in advance!

  3. Mazal tov! Happy 30th birthday from both of us at Slow Bike Miami. May you have only happiness and blessings, and may you celebrate many more! :-)

  4. bon anniversaire, trisha!!! i cycled around paris in february and probably the pièce de résistance was cycling up les champs-élysées and then around l’arc de triomphe (twice, because it was so much fun, and we missed our exit!!!)

    bon voyage!

Happy Birthday! Have a fantastic weekend together, and a marvelous trip to Paris!

Thanks, both of you, for all the wonderful blogging. Cheers!

  8. Happy birthday! I love those photos, especially the last one.

Happy birthday! Do come to Paris and enjoy the, how shall I put it, entertainment of riding a bike here! If you ever want to get some info on the nicest routes and rides in the city, do let me know… we got no lakefront, but we do have the Canal de l’Ourcq trail, and that’s a really nice ride.

Digressions, digressions: I’m taking my bike on the night train to Berlin this Thursday… and on Friday night I’ll be seeing She & Him there. So psyched.

Happy Birthday, Trisha! She is pretty awesome. Riding bikes in Paris?! Oh what fun! I love being able to read about your fun friend adventures.

  11. Trisha says:

Totally a deal! Can’t wait to see you; it seems like it has been far too long this time.

As anyone reading this should know, any coolness I have added to Dottie’s life has been returned to me tenfold. Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes!

Tinker, I have only been hiding behind my crappy camera with limited self-timer settings, and an unexpectedly busy life that has not let me post as much as I’d like lately. :) But I’m on the blog if you look hard enough!

    Happy Birthday!!!

Also, Dottie – I am now totally into those AUTHOR bikes. Did you happen to notice when you were there if they were made in Europe or if they were made elsewhere? (Like the manufacturing – I’d prefer if they were made locally.)

  13. Vee says:

Happy Birthday!!! That first shot is pretty darn special. I hope you have a wonderful day and this weekend is filled with fun. Can’t wait to hear about it and the trip to paris.

Sometime you guys have to tell us how you met? Or have I missed that somewhere.
