Being Totally Sweet in Chicago 09/30/09

Today Being Totally Sweet in Chicago featured an interview with yours truly. That’s right: I’m officially totally sweet!

btsic

BTSIC, a blog about “riding bicycles, sampling culinary delights and getting sloshed on the finest of booze,” is a daily read for me. (Obviously, I am the target demographic.) Even for those who don’t live in Chicago, there’s lots of great information.

A sampling of my favorite bike-related posts:

Bike buying secrets of the commuting elite
Bike pub crawl in 7 easy steps
How to bike in the city, Part I and Part II
Chicago winter cycle chic

Thanks, Ira! I had fun drinking beer and talking bikes and blogs.

Well, I don’t approve of the bike pub crawl AT ALL (in my best church lady voice… and only slightly more than half serious); although I enjoy of their suggestion that “a little common sense goes a long way” and to keep the buzzed riding under 4 miles while you “party your ass off.” Shaking my head.

When did I become such a prude?

Soon I’m gonna be reading as many bike blogs from Chicago as I do from South Florida…

I loved the interview. I have a somewhat selfish motive on why I promote bicycling – I don’t want to get run over! Therefore, the more people on bikes, the less worry I have. I am learning a lot by reading yours and other women authored blogs. Lots!
