Indian Summer

I continue to enjoy fall the best way possible: by bicycle. These days, the lakefront trail is even more beautiful than usual.

To accompany the beauty of the season, I’ll share with you one of my favorite songs, Indian Summer, instead of a poem this time.

Portland has been the same way this year – we’re hitting highs of 80 still, in the second week of October! Of course, it only hits 80 for about an hour this time of year, which I’m a fan of, but still, it seems to really just be dragging out the warm weather for a long time. I’ve been really enjoying the crisp, chilly mornings though. Have to love a little tingle in the fingers and cheeks on the way to work in the morning. Makes that cup of coffee or tea taste extra delicious :)

I went to London last week to see Tori Amos at the Royal Albert Hall, on her Gold Dust tour. It was magical – one of my best experiences ever. I started listening to her music after you mentioned her in Scotland – so thanks!

No Indian Summer here – but lovely crisp, freezing mornings. Best weather for cycling to work.

NO WAY!!! How wonderful! I wanted to see this orchestral tour so much, but the stars did not align to match the show dates with my vacation dates. Lovely to hear that you enjoyed the show so much. Too bad you won’t be in London next week. I’ll be there this Saturday through Monday. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to swing by Edinburgh. :)

I would love to meet up with you both but sadly it’s not to be this weekend. Next time! If you happen to be in Bloomsbury, check out Persephone Books. I love that place.
