Fashion Friday: Foxy Fall

The crisp fall weather has officially arrived in Chicago (see here) and this week I wore gloves and a light scarf for the first time (see here).  Fall is my favorite season and I love dressing for it.  Lately I’ve been thinking of boots, burnt orange, brown leather, dark denim, and – yes – sweaters emblazoned with foxes.  A spritz of my favorite fall scent, Burberry Brit, and I’m ready to go. Since I was talking about alien baby folding bikes recently, I added a Strida to the mix: quite possibly the most alien of them all.

Now all I need is a big pile of colorful leaves to jump in.  Who’s with me?  :-)

P.S. I totally want to follow this DIY to embroider my own fox slippers.

I need a tutorial on how to tie a scarf like that. For the life of me, I cannot figure it out!

I figured out how to wear scarves only after I moved to Chicago. Trisha is the real scarf expert. For the style shown above, fold the scarf in half, drape behind your neck, then in the front pull the side with the two ends through the looped side. Viola. Here is an excellent video from Nordstrom showing how to tie 4 scarves 16 ways. The very first way is what I described.

    • Annie Angello says:

Fold it half. Wrap it around your neck, and tuck the ends through the folded loop. Then fluff it out a bit, and that’s it!

Which font was used to spell “Foxy Fall Friday”? Thx.

  3. Strida’s rock! The man rides one. He says he always feels like a circus bear when he’s on it. Someone came up to him and told him that his bike looks like it came from a kinder egg. He responded with “Thank you. I’ll take that as a compliment.”

This is a useful link for wearing scarves – it gives you 25 ways to wear a scarf in 4.5 minutes:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LYAEz777AU

Thank you for another great week’s posts, lovely ladies!

  4. I love the burnt orange scarf. Great fall color. Now that I have a new navy blue Felt bike, it will look awesome in contrast!
