Fashion Friday: Trying on a Trend

I’m not sure how I feel about the dropped hem trend, aka mixi dress. So I thought I would try it out virtually, before I alter all my clothes. :) I think it’d look great with a chunky heel and a chandelier earring. And maybe a Charge Hob 3—that green and gold go so well together! Have you worn this trend? Would you try it?

I would wear a dress or skirt shorter in the front than the back, if I could find one I liked the look of.
When my little sister got a Barbie fashion Designer program, there was an option to print out a magazine cover, which looked much like a paper doll. Well, we traced and modified her and drew lots of outfits- a dress like this showed up quite often!

My senior prom dress actually had this sort of hemline…although they were calling it a fishtail then because it was floor-length in front. :) Funny that it is a Barbie dream dress! I guess it’s something I would have liked then too.

Oooh, I love this outfit!  Elegant, yet not too dressy.  If I were to wear this outfit, maybe the dress and bike could switch colors for the benefit of my skin tone.  :)

I love this type of hemline, i have a dress very similar in navy and rock it up with chunky heels!

When I see that sort of hem line, I think “mullet” and can’t get past that. Sorry.
