1-Up

The other day I found myself humming a familiar tune while putting on my helmet.

Yes, I’m not afraid to say it: the round Bern helmet gives me an unfortunate resemblance to Toad.

Separated at birth?

I suppose there are worse characters to be in the Marioverse. Sure, Toad started off as a buzz kill in Mario 1 — the Princess was always in another castle! — but he redeemed himself by becoming my second favorite character to play in Mario 2.

Don't shoot the messenger, Mario!

End random helmet association.

Haha! I have a shiny white Bern helmet. I tell my co-workers that if they see a q-tip riding a bike, that’s me.

You don’t need to be scared until you find yourself humming the theme music to Frogger while you’re riding.

You know, Toad was one of my favorite characters in the Mario series. I think it’s a pretty cool helmet association.

That is funny. It is hard to look good in most bike helmets.

But those sunglasses would redeem any helmet!

Truly the first helmet discussion I’ve enjoyed in some time :) You’ve got a unique and enjoyable sense of humor.

You need to get some turtle shells to chuck at people while biking.
